Astonishing interview with another Hubert Freidl, Michael Johnson, L Ron Hubbard, etc.

During a very recent conversation about today's mainstream journalists, I was asked the following question:

' If you could choose any journalist (alive or dead) to interview the leader of an 'income opportunity' cult, who would you go for?'

Without any hesitation, I replied:

'The young David Frost.'

By a strange (and sad) coincidence, just a few days after my conversation, it was announced that the legendary British broadcaster/journalist, Sir David Frost, has suddenly died aged 74.

The reason why I chose the young David Frost, was because of this astonishing interview with a severe and inflexible narcissistic charlatan, Emil Savundra, in 1967. The previous week, David Frost had joked on his show that 'the following week he was going to interview Emil Savundra.' This led to Savundra arrogantly contacting ITV's 'The Frost Programme' and volunteering to be interviewed without any pre-conditions. However, when put under pressure by a hostile David Frost, and hostile members of the studio audience, the smirking Savundra began to boast about how, in a democracy, anyone can cheat the 'peasants' (i.e. the public), but avoid being held to account, simply by legally-registering mystifying labyrinths of limited-liability, privately-controlled commercial companies. Savundra was so arrogant, and unfeeling, that he was actually blaming his poor victims (many of whom were sat right in front of him), and ridiculing them, for allowing their democratically-elected government to pass laws of incorporation, behind which he was hiding.

Largely due to David Frost's capacity to maintain his critical and evaluative faculties (and his sense of humour), in the face of an experienced, psychologically-dominant mental-manipulator, Emil Savundra was exposed to 12 millions British television viewers as an absurd, but nonetheless dangerous, sociopath.

In Emil Savundra, we could actually be watching any one of numerous narcissistic charlatans: Hubert Freidl, Michael Johnson, Mark Hughes, members of the De Vos and Van Andel clans, L. Ron Hubbard, etc. Sadly, we now live in a world (run by amoral attorneys and accountants) in which journalists are no longer allowed to challenge liars on mainstream television.
