The latest developments in Donald Trump's American kleptocracy almost beggar belief.

Immediately before President Trump 'terminated' FBI Director, James Comey (who just happened to be in charge of ongoing investigations into Trump's Putin connections), it emerged that a member of the Trump clan, Nicole Kushner Meyer, has (in a series of live public performances) been trying to persuade wealthy Chinese citizens collectively to invest $150 millions in a cash-strapped Kushner Companies New Jersey real-estate development project (formerly run by her brother, Jared Kushner), by implying that, by doing so (above a level of half a million dollars), they would almost certainly be guaranteed a US Green Card (under visa program EB 5 approved and controlled by President Trump and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner).

Furthermore, when it was discovered that journalists were present with cameras at the Kushner Companies latest American Dream-peddling event (held in a swanky Beijing hotel), an attempt was made to destroy the evidence that Donald Trump and Jared Kushner's names, and images, had been invoked. The reporters were also intimidated and excluded.

  1. David,

Did you expect anything less from my current President's family? A lack of subtlety appears to run rampantly through these people, and with this garbage happening on top of the Comey firing, you can expect to see a lot more stories of brazen actions taken by people that are "the law". This has become a complete joke, and I'm sure the next story will be something like, Trump makes a deal to allow refugees to come into America to work on his next tower.

    1. John - The whole Trump clan, not just Donald himself, seems to be drunk with the President's power. Their desperate need for more cash to keep this cash-strapped New Jersey project afloat is shown by their lack of precautions in peddling this scandalous visa-linked investment in the open.

When I first saw this story, I was reminded of the tragicomic scandal involving the (cash-strapped) Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson.

In May 2010, Sarah was secretly filmed by the (now defunct) 'News of the World' offering access to her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, for £500,000. Mazher Mahmood, an undercover reporter had been posing as an Indian businessman.

A video made to support the News of the World story is still publicly available. Sarah is heard to say that "£500,000 when you can, to me, open doors". She is then seen taking away a case containing US$40,000 in cash.

In a subsequent interview with Oprah Winfrey, Sarah dismissed her behaviour by saying that she had been drinking prior to soliciting the cash and that she had been "in the gutter at that moment".

  2. The Trumps and Kushners think they are superior humans. The Comey sacking has distracted everyone from the fact that sister of the US president's daughter's husband is touring China selling entry to the USA for $500k. If this woman was openly implying President Trump is involved in this set up, what might she have being promising in private?

    1. Yes Anonymous, I think that these journalists might have got a much bigger story if they had gone in under-cover with a suitcase stufffed with cash as in the example of Sarah Ferguson.

    2. It's now reported the Kushners have cancelled their latest public investment presentations in China.
