England Rugby Captain Maro Itoje
Maro Itoje is an international sporting icon, a leader and role model. His public association with, and endorsement of, any company is guaranteed to make it appear that it cannot possibly be a corporate counterfeit shielding a scam. For Maro is not your average professional athlete. As well as being an eloquent speaker, noted philanthropist and published author, he has a degree in politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, and a Master of Business Administration from Warwick Business School.
Yet it has just been announced that Maro Itoje has signed a two year deal in which he has accepted a substantial payment in return for agreeing to become labelled as, 'AG1's latest athlete ambassador.'
Predictably, Maro has already been interviewed on 'The High Performance Podcast' where the reality-inverting dose of 'AG1' scripted Newspeak is delivered at the [22:00 – 23:30] minute mark.
Maro probably has no idea what he has sold his hard-earned prestige to, but his legal and financial advisers have no such excuse. The fact that 'AG1's' bosses have already bought association with the England Rugby Football Union, along with the Irish Rugby Football Union and Rugby Australia, makes this situation even more embarrassing and potentially catastrophic for the reputation of international professional rugby.
Tellingly, it has been widely reported that English rugby is facing a major financial crisis..

More than a month ago, I posted a common-sense (linguistically accurate) analysis of 'AG1,' concluding that this is a racket built on the creation, and maintenence, of a Big propaganda Lie, and shielded by association with A-list celebrity investors - including Hugh Jackman and Lewis Hamilton. At that time, I also began to explain the role of Wall St. in financing the expansion of the Big 'AG1' lie and pumping the value of the front company peddling it, into the billions of $. Interestingly, there are already signs that 'AG1's' Wall St. backers are making preparations to dump their profitable investment. 'Goldman Sachs' has been brought in to 'study strategic options.' The investment banking giant was tasked with 'exploring a full or minority sale of AG1, eyeing a debt-inclusive valuation exceeding $2 billion.'

1. 'Alpha Wave Global' (Formerly 'Falcon Edge Capital') - A major New York-based 'global alternative asset management' firm managing billions in capital. 'Alpha Wave' led the $115 million funding of 'AG1.' Its founder and Chairman, Rick Gerson, subsequently took a seat directly on 'AG1’s' Board of Directors to 'help guide the brand's global corporate expansion.'
2. 'SC.Holdings' - A prominent New York 'private equity and strategic advisory' firm specialized in consumer brands, sports, and media. 'SC.Holdings' was an early investment backer that 'participated across multiple funding rounds to scale AG1’s operational and digital marketing reach.'
3. 'Bolt Ventures' (David Blitzer Family Office) - The 'private investment vehicle' of billionaire David Blitzer, a prominent Wall Street executive and senior Managing Director at 'The Blackstone Group' (one of the world's largest private equity firms). 'Bolt Ventures' acted as 'a core institutional participant in the funding rounds, lending elite Wall Street financial backing to solidify the brand's market legitimacy.'
4. 'Syrus Partners & Financial Insulators' - Alongside 'multi-stage venture capital' firms like 'BFG Partners' and specialized funds like 'AF Ventures,' these corporate structures injected institutional capital to 'fund global logistics, build supply chains, and engineer the corporate firebreaks.'

I further stated that 'AG1' is not the front for an 'Amway' copycat blame-the-victim 'Multi-Level Marketing commercial' cultic racket, but there are many parallels, not least the cover of effectively-valueless, exorbitantly-priced products, along with pseudo-scientific hocus-pocus and a reality-inverting dictionary. However, the shocking information upon which my published analysis and conclusions were based, has been publicly available for years. Indeed, all that Maro Itoje, or his advisers, had to do before they entered into any agreement with the bosses of 'AG1,' was Google-search Christopher Mark Ashenden, the man behind the company and who still owns a significant share of it.
https://newsroom.co.nz/2024/11/06/billion-dollar-firm-founder-stacks-the-deck-with-leaked-recording/
Ashenden has a documented history of financial misconduct and criminal convictions in his native New Zealand, but for which he has never been fully held to account. In summary, before he ran off to the USA, he was caught running an insidious real estate scam preying on vulnerable individuals. To prevent, and/or, divert investigation and insulate himself from liability, Ashenden already operated behind a confusing front of private, limited liability commercial companies. Once you understand the detail of what Ashenden did in New Zealand (linked above), and how he managed to dodge punishment, no one in his/her right mind would want to have any dealings with him, or any corporate structure connected to him. He is clearly a callous conman whose latest unoriginal con has been hidden in plain sight and associated with A-List celebrities, allowing it to keep expanding and extracting hundreds of millions of $ from countless individuals.
When you look beyond the fictional 'AG1' commercial cover story, the factual formula for this particular type of racket is incredibly simple:
- Register a private limited liability commercial company and give it a made-up (preferably catchy) technical-sounding name.
- Take a mixture of cheaply procured (preferably inert), common raw materials.
- Process, package and market these materials at an exorbitant (preferably 100x) mark-up under your made-up technical-sounding proprietary brand name.
- Cloak this updated snake oil with mind-numbing, pseudo-scientific hocus-pocus, and pay confident and physically attractive 'influencers' (preferably some with authentic academic qualifications) to broadcast the enticing comic-book narrative that 'this is an exclusive, high-value, highly-researched wellness/nutritional product offering a range of great mental and physical benefits to those smart enough to buy it, and keep consuming it every single day.'
- Trap the resulting buyers' credit cards in a hidden auto-billing loop.
- Add a rigged 'Unlimited Referral Rewards' scheme, so that a significant % of unwitting buyers will also become an unwitting unpaid salesforce trapped in the auto-billing loop, preying on their own friends and relatives in the false expectation of a future (non-existent) financial reward.
- Use some of your ill-gotten gains to buy the cover of trusted (preferably A-list) celebrities and major sports, and don't forget to be seen supporting charities (preferably those that feed starving children), all to make it appear that your product must be effective, and that your successful and philanthropic 'wellness / nutrition brand' cannot possibly be the front for an updated snake oil selling scam and unlawful, financial extraction mechanism.
